I am a scientist, engineer, speaker, host, writer, pop culture expert, content creator and storyteller. I love looking at everyday things through a scientific lens and making scientific concepts go down smooth (no chaser needed).

I was born and raised in PG County, MD. I received my BS from Penn State in 2010 in Materials Science and Engineering with a Math minor. I obtained my MS in 2015 from Duke University in Electrical and Computer Engineering and my PhD in 2015 in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. By the looks of this I seem pretty square lol! , but I like to refer to myself as a hexagonal prism; more sides, more depth, and the ability to take a project and turn it into art. 

I have dedicated her career to using my skills as a materials scientist and mechanical engineer to influence scientific spaces, popular culture, and beyond.
